Once in UK I had the craving for a traditional full english fry up Breakfast.
What I got in the end was a plate full of crap that looked like Ham, Eggs, Beans and Hash browns.
Anyways, I made it to Wales without a hitch.
On arrival my neighbor Kevin informed me that on that particular morning the water supply froze. No water in the house.
It came back 2 days later with no help of the Welsh Waterboard. Even so we called hundreds of times, they didn't bother.

I booked the Night Ferry Hoek van Holland to Harwich for the 26th.
At least so I thought. I actually booked for the 27th but went down there on the 26th :-)
Thankfully they had room so I could board ship and set of to UK.

Plan was to spend Christmas and New Year in Wales and slowly pack the Van to bring my Furniture to Switzerland.
I set of on the 23rd from Switzerland to Luxembourg after work to spend the night in a Hotel and catch the Ferry in Dunkirk on the 24th. at 2pm.
While having Dinner the news came in that a blizzard had hit Belgium and the Mototrway I had to take was impassable, but should re open in the morning.
I decided to get up early next morning to have maximum time to make the 400Km to Dunkirk.
At around noon I still had 300Km to go and there was no way I would make it.
I called my brother to arrange spending Christmas with him and Sylvia.
It took my till 9pm to go to Bissendorf by Osnabrueck. 12 hours for 450Km.


The motorways were all covered with sheet ice

had my first Toast made with my novelty KTM Toaster I bought on Nikolaus Day

you can een see the KTM on the toast if you really concentrate ;-)

Oh, you also can not burn the toast if you put the settings right

went to KTM Roehler in Pforzheim / Germany to visit Elke on the KTM Nikolaustag

and her delicious handmade KTM Chocolate

On the way back I made a quick visit at the Nikolaus Rally near Karlsruhe to say hello to Carlo, Luigi, Micha, Marcel and Ralf from the Reiseenduro Forum

found a 1 Bedroom Flat in Daellikon / Switzerland. Just 2Km from the Studer offices and in the same house as KTM Moto Huber

had the first snow today. And no traffic chaos!

started my new job at Studer Professional Audio GmbH today

I'm quite proud to got the job.

spend the weekend in Niedersolbach on the Adventure Travel Meeting

wasn't the driest of meetings. The Fireplace was roaring the whole time to dry the attendees clothes

The Rally had a camp streek that weekend and started throwing cotton balls out of the exhaust

there is no damping left in it and wow is she loud!

Will drive the Van over to my brothers visiting a few Friends along the way. So had to pack the bike in the Van.

As I knew it would be tight with the roof lining I build a little strap to pull the fork together to lower the front

put the ramp up ...

it scraped a bit on the door frame but fits like a glove once it's inside

yeah, I know why I wanted a long wheelbase VW T4

flew down to Zurich to have an Interview for a new job in Switzerland


The Alps. They outweigh the Welsh Mountains, which I will certainly miss.

btw. I got the Job. I will move soon.........

Finally the weather promised to stay dry, so took the chance to ride the bike before the MOT day

With the workshop sorted, the Adventure Meeting coming up and MOT appointment made,
it was time to give the Rally a spot of TLC.

I had to sort last years MOT remark, the sprocket carrier bearing, also a good time to change the chain and tire


Next to the usual service like oilchange and valve clearance the electrics needed tidiyng up



and the speedo needed a new magnet and sensor

Not much but a bed for the squatter...

Mostly sorted

Finally space to do the bike(s)

still a bit empty, will fill the gaps now and post mor pics
